Frequently Asked Questions
Accounts
-
You only need an AnyTrip account if you want to use your Plus subscription across multiple devices.
Your subscription is managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and linked to your account with that store - not your AnyTrip account.
Your settings and preferences are only saved on your device, not in the cloud.
-
Nope! You can use AnyTrip without an account.
But if you want to access your Plus subscription on more than one device (up to 3), you’ll need to log in with an AnyTrip account.
-
You can’t change the email on an existing account, but you can create a new one.
Here’s how:
Log out of your current AnyTrip account
Create a new account using your preferred email
Sign in — your Plus subscription will automatically carry over if your app store account is the same
Contact us if you’d like your old account deleted
Don’t worry — your preferences are saved to your device, not your account, so you won’t lose anything.
-
Just contact us and we’ll take care of it.
-
You don’t need one!
AnyTrip uses secure email sign-in codes instead of passwords. When you log in, we’ll send a code to your email to verify it’s you.
Plus Subscription
-
AnyTrip Plus gives you access to premium features that make your travel experience smoother, smarter, and more customisable.
It also helps support the project.
The AnyTrip app began as a hobby project by transit enthusiast Kenneth Tsang, and has grown into a software company building solutions for public transport. But the app you use is still a labour of love, maintained by a small team in their spare time.
Subscribing to Plus helps cover ongoing costs and fund new features — so thanks for supporting us.

If AnyTrip Plus wasn’t what you expected, we’d love to know why — send us your feedback.
-
Yes, your subscription works on up to 3 devices.
Just log into the same AnyTrip account on each one.
-
If you still have your old device, sign in to your AnyTrip account on it to link your subscription, then sign in to the same AnyTrip account on your new device.
If you no longer have your old device, it may be easier to cancel your existing subscription and start a new one on your new platform. See "How do I cancel my Plus subscription?" for details.
Note that your subscription is tied to your app store account, not your AnyTrip account. Linking simply allows your Plus features to carry over across devices.
-
Favourites and settings are saved on each device, not in the cloud.
If you get a new device, you’ll need to add them again manually.
-
Yes, as long as your subscription has been linked to an AnyTrip account, you can continue using it on either platform.
If you no longer have access to a device on the old platform, it may be easier to cancel your existing subscription and start a new one. See "How do I cancel my Plus subscription?" for details.
-
You can now login to your AnyTrip account on the web app to access your Plus subscription.
Ensure you have linked your Plus subscription on a device where you purchased the subscription. For more information, refer to “How do I link my subscription to an AnyTrip account”
New Features
-
We’d love to, but it depends on the data.
AnyTrip can only show live transit info in regions where transport operators provide open, real-time data. Wherever this data exists in Australia or New Zealand, we include it.
Unfortunately, Western Australia doesn’t currently offer real-time public transit data. If that changes, we’ll work to add it right away.
Want to help?
We encourage you to contact your local transit agency and let them know you’d love to see their data in AnyTrip.
-
Maybe! We love hearing from users.
If you have a feature suggestion, send it our way. We review every idea and consider it as part of our product roadmap.
Even if we can’t build it right away, your feedback helps us improve the app for everyone.
Troubleshooting
-
Vehicle positions come directly from transport operators.
If something’s stuck or missing, it may be a data issue on their end rather than a bug in the app.
That said, we still want to know!
Send us a message and we’ll check whether it’s a bug or a problem with the live feed. If it’s the latter, we’ll pass it on to the operator.
-
We aim to show the most accurate transit info available, but no system is perfect.
There are a few reasons things can look off:
• Operators sometimes report incorrect info
• Some operators don’t track certain vehicle types
• Publishing speeds and formats vary by region
• Alerts from agencies may be delayed or incomplete
• Regional coverage is often limited
If you spot something that doesn’t look right, let us know. We’ll check it out and work to improve where we can.
-
We don’t operate the transit services shown in the app.
If you have a complaint about a vehicle, driver, or route, please contact the operator directly.
-
You’ll need to contact the transit operator directly.
AnyTrip is a third-party app — we don’t manage tickets, lost property, or anything to do with the transit services.
Other
-
We don’t. AnyTrip tracks vehicles, not users.
Your account only stores an email address so you can access your Plus subscription across up to 3 devices. That’s it.
-
Our API isn’t available for personal or research use.
It’s only offered as part of our enterprise solutions.
If you’re an organisation interested in integration or licensing, get in touch.
-
We do, but not for public use.
Historical data is available for enterprise customers.
Contact us if you’d like to discuss your use case.
-
Absolutely.
Send us a message, we’d love to hear from you.
